Twelvefour (Vinyl)

'Melbourne-based 5-piece The Paper Kites return with their sophomore album, 'twelvefour!' Written entirely between midnight and four in the morning, twelvefour is a concept record that explores the theory that an artist's creative peak lays within these hours. In a pursuit to accomplish a bigger and bolder sound, the group travelled to Seattle to record with Grammy-nominated producer Phil Ek (Father John Misty, Manchester Orchestra, Fleet Foxes, The Shins). 'twelvefour' is lush and intimate: think drum machines, dirtier guitars mixed with soulful, smooth synth moments. Plentiful late night vibes.
