Another great personal Dylan album, Desire (1976) captures Dylan at the beginning of his Rolling Thunder Revue era. Folk, Rock, Middle Eastern themes and epic narratives, the album is a Pop staple throughout.   A wild collection of styles result in an album that ranks in the top of all Dylan efforts. It rambles, rocks and thunders – the sheer energy is just infectious. Its best known track and album opener "Hurricane", is quickly followed by the hypnotic "Isis" and breezy "Mozambique".

Another Side of Bob Dylan is Bob Dylan's fourth studio album, originally released on August 8, 1964. The album deviates from the more socially conscious style which Dylan had developed with his previous LP, The Times They Are A-Changin'.
Despite the album's thematic shift, Dylan performed the entirety of Another Side of Bob Dylan as he had previous records – solo. In addition to his usual acoustic guitar and harmonica, Dylan provides piano on one selection, "Black Crow Blues". Another Side of Bob Dylan eventually went gold.

LOVE AND THEFT (2LP)

by Bob Dylan
$49.95
Bob Dylan's Love And Theft was a true return to form, his 30th studio album, with the unfortunate release date of September 11, 2001.  His voice is shot, but he sounds warmer, more relaxed, and old Mr. Grumpy is as good humoured as on The Basement Tapes. Bob is in a wistful, elegiac, playful mood. He has recovered the humanity he lost on Time Out Of Mind, and is looking on life with loving eyes. He has thrown off the weight of life and is remembering a better self. And that makes this one of his more accessible albums, despite a lack of high-flying hit songs.

With beautiful printed innersleeves, this is the first vinyl reissue since 2001!

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Bob Dylan - Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 on Friday, November 3.
The latest chapter in Columbia/Legacy's highly acclaimed Bob Dylan Bootleg Series showcases the music Dylan wrote and performed during one of the most surprising, controversial and inspired periods of his career.
As the 1970s ended and the 1980s began, Dylan responded to the changing of the decades with a three album trilogy--Slow Train Coming (1979), Saved (1980) and Shot of Love (1981)--of spirit-filled songs of praise, worship and devotion. These songs were as deeply personal and packed with poetics as any Dylan had ever written, but the force of conviction and power of faith evident in these performances baffled segments of Dylan's fanbase (just as Dylan's "going electric" had alienated folk purists in 1965).

The live concerts from this crucial epoch in Dylan's history contain some of the most intensely jubilant and transcendent performances of his career. Bob Dylan - Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 offers fans and music lovers the opportunity to fully experience for the first time this extraordinary chapter in Bob Dylan's musical journey.
With the exception of "Ye Shall Be Changed," released in 1991 on The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-3), none of the tracks on Trouble No More have been previously released. This collection debuts 14 previously unreleased songs and a multitude of unreleased live performances, rare studio outtakes and more.

Available exclusively on the deluxe box set is a DVD which includes "Trouble No More: A Musical Film," a new feature-length cinematic presentation combining unreleased footage from Dylan's 1980 tours with new material written by Luc Sante and performed by Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon. Directed by Jennifer Lebeau, "Trouble No More" has been selected to premiere at the prestigious 2017 New York Film Festival.  Bonus extras on the box set's exclusive DVD include a rare performance of "Shot of Love" from Avignon 1981 and more.

PACKAGING/SPECIAL FEATURES

Bob Dylan - Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 offers fans and music lovers the opportunity to fully experience for the first time this extraordinary chapter in Bob Dylan's musical journey.
With the exception of "Ye Shall Be Changed," released in 1991 on The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-3), none of the tracks on Trouble No More have been previously released. This collection debuts 14 previously unreleased songs and a multitude of unreleased live performances, rare studio outtakes and more.

Bob Dylan returns with his new studio album, 'Shadows In The Night,' a ten track, Jack Frost-produced album, featuring the first singe, "Full Moon & Empty Arms." The 36th studio set from Bob Dylan reveals the first new music from the Dylan since 2012's worldwide hit 'Tempest.'

Upon announcement of the album's forthcoming release, Bob Dylan commented, "It was a real privilege to make this album. I've wanted to do something like this for a long time but was never brave enough to approach 30-piece complicated arrangements and refine them down for a 5-piece band. That's the key to all these performances. We knew these songs extremely well. It was all done live. Maybe one or two takes. No overdubbing. No vocal booths. No headphones. No separate tracking, and, for the most part, mixed as it was recorded. I don't see myself as covering these songs in any way. They've been covered enough. Buried, as a matter a fact. What me and my band are basically doing is uncovering them. Lifting them out of the grave and bringing them into the light of day."

The Bootleg Series 1-3 (3CD Bookset)

The collection that was originally released in 1991 featured rare and unreleased recordings from the sessions for 1962’s debut Bob Dylan to 1989’s Oh Mercy.

It is absolutely humbling, given the quality of the material on this 3CD, 58-song set, to think that these are the Dylan compositions that DIDN'T make the cut for his albums! Includes long-rumoured songs (“She's Your Lover Now”; “Blind Willie McTell”), alternate versions (of the songs on Blood on the Tracks, for instance), live cuts and more unreleased treasures. A must.
Bob Dylan has always been incredibly prolific, only releasing a fraction of what he records. Such a policy has made him a prime target for bootleggers over the years, finally prompting this sanctioned 1991 triple-disc dive into the Dylan vaults. It consists of rare tracks, unreleased outtakes, early versions of classics ("Times They Are a-Changin‘“, "Like a Rolling Stone“, "I Shall Be Released"), and alternate versions that sometimes cut the originals ("Idiot Wind"). A measure of Dylan's depth is his list of discarded songs ("She's Your Lover Now“, "Blind Willie McTell“, "Series of Dreams") that would be the crown jewels of most catalogues. These 58 tracks serve as a shadow history of one of our most important artists.

'Blood on the Tracks is Bob Dylan’s fifteenth studio album, released on January 1975. The album marked Dylan's return to Columbia Records after a two-album stint with Asylum Records. Since its initial reception, Blood on the Tracks has been viewed by critics as one of Dylan's best albums. “Blood on the Tracks is his only flawless album and his best produced; the songs, each of them, are constructed in disciplined fashion. It is his kindest album and most dismayed, and seems in hindsight to have achieved a sublime balance between the logorrhoea-plagued excesses of his mid-1960s output and the self-consciously simple compositions of his post-accident years.“

Songs like the title track, "Ballad Of Hollis Brown" and "North Country Blues" are staples in the Dylan canon.  The album made a big impact for its lyrical content, dealing with social-political issues and the times of upheaval in those early Sixties. The Times eventually went Gold but moreover, it remains a timeless classic.

The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert (2CD)

For decades, Bob Dylan's performance in Manchester was incorrectly labelled, The Royal Albert Hall Concert. Now, for the first time, the REAL Royal Albert Hall concert, originally recorded for a live album by CBS Records, is finally being released as a standalone 2CD set, titled The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert. This show is also included in the 1966 Live Recordings box set. Dylan is accompanied on these recordings by Robbie Robertson (guitar), Rick Danko (bass, backing vocals), Richard Manuel (piano), Garth Hudson (organ) and Mickey Jones (drums).

These recordings put a fiery exclamation point on Dylan's great mid-60s creative epoch that produced - in an 18-month span - Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde On Blonde, the trilogy of album masterpieces which secured Dylan's reputation as a songwriter and performer of unprecedented depth, power and originality while significantly impacting the course of popular music and culture. These concert recordings from the same period document Dylan's evolution as an on-stage phenomenon whose transformative vision saw no limits.

1966 Live Recordings (36 Disc Boxset)

THE 1966 LIVE RECORDINGS is a monumental 36-disc box set featuring every known recording from Bob Dylan's mythic and controversial 1966 tour of the US, UK, Europe and Australia. With the exception of the Manchester concert (May 17, 1966) released as Bob Dylan Live 1966 The Bootleg Series Vol. 4 in 1998, a pair of songs appearing on Biograph, and a smattering of others, the overwhelming majority of tracks and performances on Bob Dylan: The 1966 Live Recordings are previously unreleased in any format--official or bootlegged--and are being made available now for the very first time. All the songs on The 1966 Live Recordings were written by Bob Dylan (vocal, guitar, piano, harmonica) with the sole exception of "Baby, Let Me Follow You Down," a traditional song arranged by Bob Dylan for concert performance. Dylan is accompanied on these recordings by Robbie Robertson (guitar), Rick Danko (bass, backing vocals), Richard Manuel (piano), Garth Hudson (organ) and Mickey Jones (drums). (Sandy Konikoff plays drums on the White Plains and Pittsburgh shows only.) Meticulously researched, curated and restored for this extraordinary collection, Bob Dylan: The 1966 Live Recordings is drawn from three main audio sources: soundboards, CBS Records mobile recordings and audience tapes.

Nashville Skyline is the ninth studio album by Bob Dylan, released in 1969. uilding on the rustic style he experimented with on John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline displayed a complete immersion into country music.

Along with the more basic lyrical themes, simple songwriting structures, and charming domestic feel, it introduced audiences to a radically new singing voice from Dylan—a soft, affected country croon.

The result received a generally positive reaction from critics, and was a commercial success. Reaching number 3 in the U.S., the album also scored Dylan his fourth UK No. 1 album.

Highway 61 Revisited was ranked No. 4 on Rolling Stone‍ 's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". by Bob Dylan
              $34.99

Bringing It All Back Home is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.

The album is divided into an electric and an acoustic side. On side one of the original LP, Dylan is backed by an electric rock and roll band—a move that further alienated him from some of his former peers in the folk song community. Likewise, on the acoustic second side of the album, he distanced himself from the protest songs with which he had become closely identified (such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall"), as his lyrics continued their trend towards the abstract and personal.

The album reached No. 6 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart, the first of Dylan's LPs to break into the US top 10. It also topped the UK charts later that Spring. The first track, "Subterranean Homesick Blues", became Dylan's first single to chart in the US, peaking at #39.

Blonde on Blonde is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.

Blonde on Blonde completed the trilogy of rock albums that Dylan recorded in 1965 and 1966, starting with Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited. Combining the expertise of Nashville session musicians with a modernist literary sensibility, the album's songs have been described as operating on a grand scale musically, while featuring lyrics one critic called "a unique blend of the visionary and the colloquial“. It was one of the first double albums in rock music.

Blonde on Blonde spawned two singles that were top twenty hits in the US: "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" and "I Want You“. "Just Like a Woman" and "Visions of Johanna", have been named as among Dylan's greatest compositions and were featured in Rolling Stone‍ 's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list.
