STREET-LEGAL (GLOBAL VINYL TITLE) LP

Recorded in the wake of an acrimonious divorce and custody battle, 1978's divisive Street Legal preceded Bob Dylan's trio of religious themed albums and found him chasing a fuller big band sound with a horn section and female back-up vocalists embedded in the elaborate arrangements. Cut with producer Don DeVito (DesireHard Rain), it's no coincidence that it falls between Desire and Slow Train ComingSaved and Shot of Love as it exhibits aspects  of the former's colorful artistry and the latter grouping's religious undertones. Although Street Legal may have broken a three album run of No. 1 hits, Dylan in transition with a lot on his mind is captivating none the less and it contains several undeniable classics including "Changing Of The Guards," "Is Your Love in Vain?" and "Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat).“

TRACKLISTING:

SIDE A

1. Changing of the Guards
2. New Pony
3. No Time to Think
4. Baby, Stop Crying

SIDE B

1. Is Your Love in Vain?
2. Señor (Tales of Yankee Power)
3. True Love Tends to Forget
4. We Better Talk This Over
5. Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat)

PLANET WAVES (GLOBAL VINYL TITLE) LP

Bob Dylan’s 1974 masterwork Planet Waves found him reuniting with the Band, by then firmly established as virtuosos in their own right. The chemistry is obvious on every song and the modest and spare production only magnifies the honesty and purity of the collaboration. Planet Waves is at its core an exhibition of the inimitable folk-rock honed by Dylan and the Band. Recalling the Americana spirit of The Basement Tapes while adding a domesticated edginess and subtracting a degree of wildness, the set personifies simple charm and scraggly sweetness.

Per Dylan's hallmark, many tunes involve twists and subterfuge. Not, however, the best known offerings – the often-covered wish "Forever Young," celebratory roll-and-tumble "On a Night Like This," devotional "You Angel You," which spark with love, romance, and prayer like tenderness.

TRACKLISTING:

SIDE A

1. On a Night Like This
2. Going, Going, Gone
3. Tough Mama
4. Hazel
5. Something There Is About You
6. Forever Young

SIDE B

2. Dirge
3. You Angel You
4. Never Say Goodbye
5. Wedding Song
PAT GARRETT & BILLY THE KID (GLOBAL VINYL TITLE) LP

Bob Dylan's Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid served as a potent soundtrack to Sam Peckinpah's western of the same name. Dating from 1973, the Grammy-nominated set continued a rustic current Dylan explored on prior efforts such as Nashville Skyline and John Wesley Harding. It also demonstrated the singer could successfully lend his talents to a film and produce music that not only illuminated the mood, personalities, and actions on screen but exist and thrive independent of them.

The album also remains both distinctive and intriguing for the cast Dylan assembled for its creation – and their collective performances. Echoing Ry Cooder's adventurous, epoch defying journeys that would soon follow, the 10-track album effortlessly breathes with country, folk, blues, and old-time pop flavors. A-list collaborators, including drummer Jim Keltner, fiddler Byron Berline, Booker T. Jones on bass, and Byrd legend Roger McGuinn, assist Dylan in making instrumental portraits such as the pensive "Catalina Theme (Working for the Law") and the spry "Turkey Chase" teem with detail, character, and a definite sense of place.

TRACKLISTING:

SIDE A

1. Main Title Theme (Billy)
2. Cantina Theme (Workin' for the Law)
3. Billy 1
4. Bunkhouse Theme
5. River Theme

SIDE B

1. Turkey Chase
2. Knockin' On Heaven's Door
3. Final Theme
4. Billy 4

Dylan's previous albums of classic American songs, 2016's 'Fallen Angels' and 2015's 'Shadows In The Night' received worldwide critical acclaim, with The Telegraph's Neil McCormick giving 'Fallen Angels' five out of five stars and describing the work as "spooky, bittersweet, mesmerizingly moving" with "the best singing from Dylan in 25 years." Jon Pareles wrote in the New York Times, "Mr. Dylan presents yet another changed voice...a subdued, sustained tone... 'Shadows in the Night' maintains its singular mood: lovesick, haunted, suspended between an inconsolable present and all the regrets of the past." Bob Dylan's seven previous studio albums have been universally hailed as among the best of his storied career, achieving new levels of commercial success and critical acclaim for the artist. The Platinum-selling 'Time Out Of Mind' from 1997 earned multiple Grammy Awards, including Album Of The Year, while 'Love and Theft' continued Dylan's Platinum streak and earned several Grammy nominations and a statue for Best Contemporary Folk album. 'Modern Times,' released in 2006, became one of the artist's most popular albums, selling more than 2.5 million copies worldwide and earning Dylan two more Grammys. 'Together Through Life' became the artist's first album to debut at #1 in both the U.S. and the UK, as well as in five other countries, on its way to surpassing sales of one million copies. 'Tempest' received unanimous worldwide critical acclaim upon release and reached the Top 5 in 14 countries, while 'Shadows In The Night' was hailed by fans and critics for Dylan's singular interpretive artistry. In recent years, Bob Dylan was the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States' highest civilian honor. He was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for "his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power." He was also the recipient of the Officier de la Legion d'honneur in 2013, Sweden's Polar Music Award in 2000, Doctorates from the University of St. Andrews and Princeton University, as well as numerous other honors. Bob Dylan has sold more than 125 million records around the world.

Another great personal Dylan album, 'Desire' (1976) captures Dylan at the beginning of his Rolling Thunder Revue era. Folk, Rock, Middle Eastern themes and epic narratives, the album is a Pop staple throughout. A wild collection of styles result in an album that ranks in the top of all Dylan efforts. It rambles, rocks and thunders – the sheer energy is just infectious. Its best known track and album opener "Hurricane", is quickly followed by the hypnotic "Isis" and breezy "Mozambique".

Bob Dylan is Dylan's astonishing debut album, recorded at Columbia Recording Studios in 1961. This is a 20-year-old Dylan, newly arrived in New York to be the next Woody Guthrie, singing traditional songs and original compositions with an aggressiveness and emotion that belie his young age. Guthrie's influence looms large over classic renditions of traditional songs, such as 'Man Of Constant Sorrow' and 'Pretty Peggy-O', as well as the poignant 'Song To Woody', one of two original compositions on the album. Even more powerful is the influence of Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson and the other great blues men, whose death-haunted emotions are carried through songs like 'See That My Grave Is Kept Clean', 'Fixin' To Die' and 'In My Time Of Dyin'. 'Talkin' New York', the second original composition, is a first glimpse of the savage wit that would come to mark his work.

    by Bob Dylan
    $9.99
'Nashville Skyline' is the ninth studio album by Bob Dylan, released in 1969.

Building on the rustic style he experimented with on John Wesley Harding, 'Nashville Skyline' displayed a complete immersion into country music.

Along with the more basic lyrical themes, simple songwriting structures, and charming domestic feel, it introduced audiences to a radically new singing voice from Dylan—a soft, affected country croon.

The result received a generally positive reaction from critics, and was a commercial success. Reaching number 3 in the U.S., the album also scored Dylan his fourth UK No. 1 album.

John Wesley Harding shares many stylistic threads with, and was recorded around the same time as, the prolific series of home recording sessions with The Band, finally released in 1975 as The Basement Tapes.

The album was ranked number 301 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Despite the album's thematic shift, Dylan performed the entirety of Another Side of Bob Dylan as he had previous records – solo. In addition to his usual acoustic guitar and harmonica, Dylan provides piano on one selection, "Black Crow Blues".

Another Side of Bob Dylan is Bob Dylan's fourth studio album, originally released on August 8, 1964. The album deviates from the more socially conscious style which Dylan had developed with his previous LP, The Times They Are A-Changin'.
Despite the album's thematic shift, Dylan performed the entirety of Another Side of Bob Dylan as he had previous records – solo. In addition to his usual acoustic guitar and harmonica, Dylan provides piano on one selection, "Black Crow Blues". Another Side of Bob Dylan eventually went gold.

      by Bob Dylan
      $49.95
Bob Dylan's Love And Theft was a true return to form, his 30th studio album, with the unfortunate release date of September 11, 2001.  His voice is shot, but he sounds warmer, more relaxed, and old Mr. Grumpy is as good humoured as on The Basement Tapes. Bob is in a wistful, elegiac, playful mood. He has recovered the humanity he lost on Time Out Of Mind, and is looking on life with loving eyes. He has thrown off the weight of life and is remembering a better self. And that makes this one of his more accessible albums, despite a lack of high-flying hit songs.

With beautiful printed innersleeves, this is the first vinyl reissue since 2001!

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Bob Dylan - Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 on Friday, November 3.
The latest chapter in Columbia/Legacy's highly acclaimed Bob Dylan Bootleg Series showcases the music Dylan wrote and performed during one of the most surprising, controversial and inspired periods of his career.
As the 1970s ended and the 1980s began, Dylan responded to the changing of the decades with a three album trilogy--Slow Train Coming (1979), Saved (1980) and Shot of Love (1981)--of spirit-filled songs of praise, worship and devotion. These songs were as deeply personal and packed with poetics as any Dylan had ever written, but the force of conviction and power of faith evident in these performances baffled segments of Dylan's fanbase (just as Dylan's "going electric" had alienated folk purists in 1965).

The live concerts from this crucial epoch in Dylan's history contain some of the most intensely jubilant and transcendent performances of his career. Bob Dylan - Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 offers fans and music lovers the opportunity to fully experience for the first time this extraordinary chapter in Bob Dylan's musical journey.
With the exception of "Ye Shall Be Changed," released in 1991 on The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-3), none of the tracks on Trouble No More have been previously released. This collection debuts 14 previously unreleased songs and a multitude of unreleased live performances, rare studio outtakes and more.

Available exclusively on the deluxe box set is a DVD which includes "Trouble No More: A Musical Film," a new feature-length cinematic presentation combining unreleased footage from Dylan's 1980 tours with new material written by Luc Sante and performed by Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon. Directed by Jennifer Lebeau, "Trouble No More" has been selected to premiere at the prestigious 2017 New York Film Festival.  Bonus extras on the box set's exclusive DVD include a rare performance of "Shot of Love" from Avignon 1981 and more.

Bob Dylan returns with his new studio album, 'Shadows In The Night,' a ten track, Jack Frost-produced album, featuring the first singe, "Full Moon & Empty Arms." The 36th studio set from Bob Dylan reveals the first new music from the Dylan since 2012's worldwide hit 'Tempest.'

Upon announcement of the album's forthcoming release, Bob Dylan commented, "It was a real privilege to make this album. I've wanted to do something like this for a long time but was never brave enough to approach 30-piece complicated arrangements and refine them down for a 5-piece band. That's the key to all these performances. We knew these songs extremely well. It was all done live. Maybe one or two takes. No overdubbing. No vocal booths. No headphones. No separate tracking, and, for the most part, mixed as it was recorded. I don't see myself as covering these songs in any way. They've been covered enough. Buried, as a matter a fact. What me and my band are basically doing is uncovering them. Lifting them out of the grave and bringing them into the light of day."

The Bootleg Servies: Vols 1-3 (5LP Boxset)

It is absolutely humbling, given the quality of the material on this 3-CD, 58-song set, to think that these are the Dylan compositions that DIDN'T make the cut for his albums! Includes long-rumoured songs (“She's Your Lover Now”; “Blind Willie McTell”), alternate versions (of the songs on Blood on the Tracks, for instance), live cuts and more unreleased treasures. A must.

Bob Dylan has always been incredibly prolific, only releasing a fraction of what he records. Such a policy has made him a prime target for bootleggers over the years, finally prompting this sanctioned 1991 triple-disc dive into the Dylan vaults. It consists of rare tracks, unreleased outtakes, early versions of classics ("Times They Are a-Changin‘“, "Like a Rolling Stone“, "I Shall Be Released"), and alternate versions that sometimes cut the originals ("Idiot Wind"). A measure of Dylan's depth is his list of discarded songs ("She's Your Lover Now“, "Blind Willie McTell“, "Series of Dreams") that would be the crown jewels of most catalogues. These 58 tracks serve as a shadow history of one of our most important artists.

The Times They Are A Changin' (Vinyl)

The Times They Are a-Changin' is Bob Dylan's third studio album, released in January 1964. It was the first Bob Dylan record to contain only original compositions. Songs like the title track, "Ballad Of Hollis Brown" and "North Country Blues" are staples in the Dylan canon.  The album made a big impact for its lyrical content, dealing with social-political issues and the times of upheaval in those early Sixties. The Times eventually went Gold but moreover, it remains a timeless classic.

The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert (2CD)

For decades, Bob Dylan's performance in Manchester was incorrectly labelled, The Royal Albert Hall Concert. Now, for the first time, the REAL Royal Albert Hall concert, originally recorded for a live album by CBS Records, is finally being released as a standalone 2CD set, titled The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert. This show is also included in the 1966 Live Recordings box set. Dylan is accompanied on these recordings by Robbie Robertson (guitar), Rick Danko (bass, backing vocals), Richard Manuel (piano), Garth Hudson (organ) and Mickey Jones (drums).

These recordings put a fiery exclamation point on Dylan's great mid-60s creative epoch that produced - in an 18-month span - Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde On Blonde, the trilogy of album masterpieces which secured Dylan's reputation as a songwriter and performer of unprecedented depth, power and originality while significantly impacting the course of popular music and culture. These concert recordings from the same period document Dylan's evolution as an on-stage phenomenon whose transformative vision saw no limits.
