THIS ONE’S FOR YOU TOO

by Luke Combs
$19.99

Luke Combs will release the expanded collection of his debut album “This One’s For You,” one year after the June 2, 2017 launch.

The first-time ACM Awards nominee Pollstar calls “one of the country’s fastest rising stars” built his burgeoning fan base and career relentlessly touring and including new music, fresh from the writer’s room, in his set lists night after night. Of the five news songs on “This One’s For You Too,” Combs is for the first time releasing the viral video smash ‘Beautiful Crazy,’ a soulful love ballad Combs performed acoustically on socials and frequently includes in set-lists, and a bright new recording of ‘She Got The Best Of Me’, a flagship track from Combs’ early indie released EPs.

“As a songwriter, I’m always writing and adding new songs to our set lists. Some songs I haven’t released have even become staples in our shows because the fans request them,” Combs shares. “As we’re working on the next record, the deluxe gives me the chance to say thank you to the fans for supporting my debut album and share with them some of the new music they’ve fallen in love with on the road with us.”

FIND A LIGHT (Vinyl) (2LP)

by Blackberry Smoke
$42.95

Pigeonholing Blackberry Smoke has never been easy. Since emerging from Atlanta in the early ‘00s, the quintet has become known for a singular sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country and fold. “Find A Light”, Blackberry Smoke’s sixth studio album, doubles down on diversity. Songs hew toward easygoing roots-rock and Southern rock stomps, as well as stripped-down acoustic and bruising alt-country. Rich instrumental flourishes-keening fiddle, solemn organ and bar-band piano boogies-add further depth and resonance.

Originally released in 1987, Rosanne Cash’s King’s Record Shop produced 4-No. 1 singles on the Billboard country singles chart. These consisted of “The Way We Make A Broken Heart”, “If You Change Your Mind”, “Tennessee Flat Top Box”, and “Runaway Train”. This June marks the 30th anniversary of the record and to celebrate we are reissuing the album on vinyl

KING'S RECORD SHOP proved a pivotal album in the career of Rosanne Cash and in the emergence of Americana as an heir to traditional country music. After working on a series of albums which contained singles introducing a new wave/pop sound to America's country charts, producer Rodney Crowell shifted gears on KING'S RECORD SHOP to bring a more roots-oriented, contemporary folk approach to the genre.

'No-one ever listens to me anyway, I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record', Neil once said during an episode of the notorious 'Young Ones'. This has changed dramatically.

Cohen's "Hallelujah" has reached the charts several times performed by various vocalists. Massive sold out concerts and well-known artists like Lou Reed, Bono, Nick Cave, Antony and Rufus Wainwright paying homage resulted in a huge re-appreciation which led to a whole new generation getting in touch with Cohen's impressive repertoire. Sweetheart Of The Rodeo (Vinyl)

by The Byrds
$34.99

'With one mighty swing of the axe, the Byrds changed not only the face of rock 'n' roll but country music, as well, with their sixth album, 1968's Sweetheart Of The Rodeo. Tired of dipping a toe into the genre, Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman added singer Gram Parsons and drummer Kevin Kelley and went for total immersion. The baptism of country-rock was a natural with Parsons, former International Submarine Band frontman, now on board.   And the repertoire was wide open for country classics by the Louvin Brothers ("The Christian Life") and Merle Haggard ("Life In Prison"), as well as Depression-era ballads (Woody Guthrie's "Pretty Boy Floyd") and honky tonk weepers cut by George Jones ("You're Still On My Mind"). The town wasn't big enough for both of them, of course, and Parsons soon split to form the Flying Burrito Brothers, but it sure was nice while it lasted!

'Full Circle' is the first new studio album in over ten years from American music icon Loretta Lynn!

Produced by Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash, and recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee, 'Full Circle' takes listeners on a journey through Loretta's musical story, from the Appalachian folk songs and gospel music she learned as a child, to new interpretations of her classic hits and country standards, to songs newly-written for the project.

Drawing inspiration from personal memories and deep connections to American music, Lynn's 13 new recordings capture the essence of these songs in intimate new performances. The album is volume one of the Cash Cabin Recordings, a series of new album projects imagined and created at the storied Cash Cabin Studio.

Highlights from 'Full Circle' include "Lay Me Down," a duet with Willie Nelson; "Everything It Takes," featuring guest vocals from Elvis Costello; "Whispering Sea," a new version of the first song Loretta ever wrote; and soulful new renditions of some of Lynn’s classic tunes, including a rousing renditions of "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" and "Fist City." The album also includes traditional Appalachian songs from Loretta’s childhood such as "Black Jack David" and "I Never Will Marry." At 83 years old, Lynn’s voice sounds as powerful as ever, and this new material only adds to her legend as a performer.

In February 1969, Johnny Cash was nearing the peak of his popularity ‰ÛÒ his At Folsom Prison album was a smash success - but he was nearly at his wildest in his personal life, which surely spilled over into his performance. All of this sets the stage for At San Quentin, that surpasses its predecessor and captures Cash at his rawest and wildest. Part of this is due to the shifting dynamic within his band. Without Luther Perkins, Cash isn't tied to the percolating two-step that defined his music to that point. No other Johnny Cash record sounds as wild as this. He sounds like an outlaw and renegade here, which is what gives it power. He sounds that way throughout the record, making it the case that this is the best Johnny Cash album ever cut.
