London Calling

‘London Calling’ was the third album released by The Clash. The English punk rockers released London Calling on December 14th 1979, and with it announced a change in their musical style, as they moved towards more diverse elements, including influences from Ska, Pop, Soul, Rockabilly and Reggae. On initial release the album reached top 10 album in the UK charts, and its title track was a top 20 single. It’s unanimously accepted as one of the great albums, and often ranks in famous All Time Greatest Albums listings; no.8 on Rolling Stone’s list, no. 4 on Q Magazine’s list just to name a few.
